Yara NOx REDUCTION SYSTEMS (SCR)
Yara Marine Technologies SCR systems - In 2014, Yara acquired German maker H+H Umwelt- und Industrietechnik under new name Yara MarineTechnologies to offer SCR technologies to reduce NOx (Nitrogen Oxides) emissions by up to 99%.
Yara proposal is called NOxCare Marine, which is a total solution to reduce NOx emissions from maritime sources. It covers a portfolio of technologies, products (reagents), processes and services applied to the retrofit and new build sector:
Engineering assistance in evaluating SCR technology solutions during vessel design/retrofit, based on extensive maritime experience
Supply of SCR equipment (complete with all necessary auxiliaries)
Supply of NOxCare40 Marine Urea solution (Yara’s specially developed urea solution for maritime use) during the operation of a vessel to any port worldwide
Supply of spares during vessel operation
NOxCare Marine offers a cost efficient and effective alternative to meet the IMO NOx regulations and to avoid local environmental taxes. SCR is the only technology that offers a positive solution to the tradeoff between fuel consumption and NOx reduction and thus does not increase fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and particulates (soot).
Key point to select Yara’s NOxCare solutions;
• Complete tailor-made systems
• Specialized chemical and catalyst know-how in house
• Fits to all engine types
• More than 1000 systems installed worldwide
• Long time experience
• Market leader of maritime SCR Systems
